First Trailer For Bleak Korean Animation KING OF PIGS
Korean animator Yeun Sang-ho makes his feature debut with King Of Pigs. About to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival the film features Breathless writer-director-star Yang Ik-jun among its voice cast and is sure to draw attention for what appears to be an unrelentingly bleak approach to its story.
The festival describes the film like this:
Following on the success of [Leafie], [The King of the Pigs] is expected to become another meaningful animated film in 2011. A rare commodity for adults, its bleak vision extends from its striking visual style to its rather grim themes. A disturbing reflection of contemporary society, the film promises to challenge and entertain audiences both at home and abroad.
Ugly and violent, check the trailer for the film below.
