WRONG TURN 4 Goes Crazy In This Full-Length Trailer [Updated]

The Wrong Turn series seems like an unlikely one for the prequel treatment--how much backstory do inbred hillbilly cannibals really need? Well, the latest entry, subtitled Bloody Beginnings, is going to give it a try. Although excessive--I tend to think these kinds of scenarios reject the need for backstory--I'm still willing to give it a try given that I think two out of the previous three entries were actually far better than the genre really deserves.

Directed by Declan O'Brien (who has a lot of TV movie credits to his name, but nothing I recognize), the latest entry is going back a few years while still keeping the same teens/young adults in peril formula from the previous entries with added bad weather to keep things tense.

Here's the official synopsis:

At an isolated hospital deep in the West Virginia wilderness, three hideously deformed mutants go on a merciless killing spree. Now, decades later, this family of blood-thirsty cannibals is stalking new prey: a group of young skiers trapped by a blizzard. The abandoned medical wards soon become killing fields as the panicked victims come face to face with a chilling choice -- fight back or die. With bonus footage too graphic for theaters, WRONG TURN 4 takes you to the most terrifying place of all...the beginning.

Wrong Turn 4 is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray on October 25th.
