Gervais! Merchant! Davis! First LIFE'S TOO SHORT Teaser!
If, at this stage of the game, you feel like you know basically what you're going to get from a new Ricky Gervais TV show, well, you're probably right. The creator / star of The Office and Extras has got his patter down, he knows what he's good at and he knows what his audience wants. The key for Gervais now is not so much variety as it is finding new settings and new twists on what he does best.
Enter Warwick Davis.
The diminutive actor is the ostensible star of Life's Too Short, the new moc-doc style comedy series by created by Gervais and long time creative partner Stephen Merchant, who both also co-star in the show. Davis plays a sort of riff on himself - much as Gervais did in Extras - playing an out of work actor trying to get back on top of the heap. The twist, of course, being that Warwick Davis is very, very short.
Though the show is still quite early in production and won't air on BBC2 until 2012 the network has just released the first teaser, which gives a brief taste of what is to come. Check it below.
