Aamir Khan Dances (!) In DELHI BELLY's I Love You (Like I Hate You)
This video was just too awesome to pass up.  Aamir Khan is known more for scowling and brooding through musical numbers than he is for dancing through them.  In his blockbuster Ghajini, he mostly sang into the air and once in a while flung his arms around.  In the terrorist drama musical Fanaa he sort of walked with purpose through the romantic Chand Sifaarish.  But rarely do we see one of Bollywood's biggest money makers shake his tail feathers, he tends to leave that to the more commercial stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Akshay Kumar.  Today that has changed radically.

In a first for him, as far as I can tell, Aamir Khan is playing the role of "item boy" for his new production, Delhi Belly.  The item number in Indian films are usually showpieces that feature guest dancers, 95% of the time women, who have nothing to do with the film, and are like musical cameos.  There are many actresses who specialize in the item number, but it is extremely rare to see men in that role.  However, this is the exception that proves the role.

Aamir Khan is paying tribute to famously loopy Indian golden oldie (or as the Bollywood fan would say, "evergreen") Disco Dancer, a film about, ahem, "a street performer and wedding singer...With his legs broken by Oberoi's goons and guitar phobia...[who] must claim first place for Team India at the International Disco Dancing Competition amidst strong competition from Team Africa and Team Paris" What?

Anyway, Aamir Khan is a good sport about it, and plays WAY out of his comfort zone with this one, so I'll give it a shot, and you should, too.
