Adam Wingard Continues Production On YOU'RE NEXT, Gears Up THE DEVIL'S PUNCHBOWL

After years of struggling to get a project set up following Pop Skull director Adam Wingard will soon be begging for a day off to catch up on lost sleep.

There was a three year gap between Pop Skull and Wingard's 2010 offering A Horrible Way To Die but it's been non-stop since. His date rape anthology What Fun We Were Having is still awaiting its chance to be seen by audiences while Wingard continues principal photography on home invasion thriller You're Next - a picture that reunites him with A Horrible Way To Die star AJ Bowen and writer Simon Barrett. And as they near the end on that it has just been announced that Wingard has another feature ready to go.

Written by The Schenker Brothers, The Devil's Punchbowl sounds like a tale of back country brutality with, perhaps, a bit of ultra dark humor thrown in. Here's the synopsis from Bloody Disgusting:

'Punchbowl' follows Dylan Massey and his expecting wife Savanna whom after inheriting a pristine Montana ranch must fight to survive a century old blood feud raging on their land that has become known as the Devil's Punchbowl.

Included on the production team are Aronofsky cohort Eric Watson and Jeremy Platt, who is currently serving as a producer on Rob Zombie's The Lords of Salem.
