Soderbergh And Burns Taking Control Of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.
Though we don't normally comment much on 'person x is in discussion for project y' stories around here the simple fact that this on-again, off-again project now appears to be on-again and with a very high profile director is cause for celebration.

Director Steven Soderbergh and writer Scott Burns - who did both The Informant and Contagion with Soderbergh - are in talks to talk over the long gestating feature film reboot of classic spy television show The Man From U.N.C.L.E. with David Dobkin and John Davis producing.

Co-created by Ian Fleming - the man responsible for James Bond - the original television series ran from 1964 - 1968 and a feature reboot has been talked about for nearly twenty years now. My personal hope for this would be to see Soderbergh in his Ocean's mode should this move ahead, though there are plenty of directions they could take it.
