Fantastic Fest 09: MIRAGE MAN To Kick Again! In English! And 3D!
Big news today from Fantastic Fest where, before the world premiere screening of Mandrill the team dropped a bomb on the crowd.
Mandrill, you see, is the new film from the team behind Chilean martial arts superhero flick Mirage Man, a film that took home the Audience Award when it screened at Fantastic Fest two years ago. And when the Mandrill crew arrived the first thing they did was start hanging posters. But not for Mandrill. No, instead they hung posters for a film called Defender 3D, a film that is a proposed English language remake of Mirage Man. Even better, word is that they'll be screening a 3D trailer for the film in front of Mandrill. Directed by Andy Cheng the film features star Marko Zaror performing in English for just the second time in his career and captures his martial arts acrobatics in three glorious dimensions. Yes, Mirage Man is coming to America and going 3D.
More details - and hopefully the trailer itself - as we get them.
