First Teaser For Luc Besson's ARTHUR AND THE VENGEANCE OF MALTAZARD

I must confess that despite having a weakness for kids' fantasy in general and the films of Luc Besson in particular I just have no interest whatsoever in Besson's Arthur films. I'm not sure if it's the animation style that doesn't work for me or if it just feels that Besson is out of his element with this sort of material but something didn't click for me with Arthur And The Minimoys and it's not clicking for me here, either. That said, Arthur And The Minimoys was a huge hit everywhere in the world other than North America - where it sparked a very entertaining war of words between Besson and Harvey Weinstein - and the sequel is hugely anticipated by many. And now those many get their first taste with the arrival of the first teaser for Arthur And The Vengeance Of Maltazard.

Arthur journeys with the Minimoy Princess Selenia and her brother Betameche in search of the forbidden city of Necropolis, home of the villainous wizard Maltazard. They must make their way past sticky spider webs and Maltazard''s threatening henchmen.

The theatrical release of the animation / live action hybrid won't come for another year but we've got the first teaser below the break.
