Well I sure did not see #1 coming. After all of the bad press this film has received in the USA, sometimes a US films preforms a lot better outside the USA than it does in the USA.
I thought that #3 would have more ticket sells since I have seen the ad all over my TV channels.
#7 is what really disappointed me. I loved the film, but the chipmunks were dubbed into Korean and my students said that the movie was not funny at all. I have said it before and I will say it again, "Do Not Dub" you ruin all of the jokes and the film is destroyed because of it.
The Only film I went to see this weekend finished at #17, The 2005 French film "Joyeux Noel" It played in 1 theater in Korea.
Opening this week in South Korea. American Gangster, The Mask (Korean Horror film), Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, Hansel and Gretal (Korean Version)
