Lucio Fulci's 'Seven Notes In Black' ('Setta Note In Nero', 1977) R1 USA DVD October 30th 2007.

One of those things we've kind of seemingly run dry of, good choices from European Horror (especially the 1970's) from good directors, and with good reputations. NoShame's downtime, Blue Underground's "Are they? Aren't they?" quietness, and the general mini slew of stuff in the past, has left us wanting a little action as far as USA releases go; the European releases of such films, if subbed, can come in a little on the expensive side, but on the up side we do see a second Mario Bava set late October 2007 also. Severin, who in recent times bought us a superb disc of Fulci's 'One on Top of the Other' as 'Perversion Story', will bring us Fulci's 'Seven Notes in Black' under the alternative title of 'The Psychic', coming this October 30th in America. From what I can see, this film has in the past been licensed by Tarantino and never released through his efforts, so it's nice to see it able to make an appearance - the film appears to be one of many often touted as one of Fulci's own personal favourites too.
