Just came back from Hua-Hin, one of the most beautiful beach city in the world. Now I have lots of power to write about Thai Film!! Here is the second part of Top 10 Thai Films Box Office 2006.

6. Noo-Hin The Movie (หนูหิ่น เดอะมูฟวี่)

Noo Hin is a lead character from a popular weekly comedy cartoon called "Noo-Hin Inter". The film is highly-anticipated from the day that Sahamongkol Film announced the idea of adapting this cartoon into movies. After that, every progress of the development got a lot of attention from the media such as the announcement of the actor team. The director is 1 of the 6 directors of Fan-Chan and just have "Dear Dakanda" as a big hit in his credit. Many insider said that this film should reach 80 million mark. However, the result is not as good as everyone expected and the film make a high but lower-than-expectation gross compare to it 40 million baht budget.

7. Metrosexual (แก๊งชะนีกับอีแอบ)

A medium budget comedy which stars all member of "women to women" ,a popular morning TV program. The film is about a girl who think that her boyfriend is a gay so she and her friends secretly follow him to everywhere he goes. The director ,who also direct The Iron Ladies, seems to know lots about gay thing and deliver a good non-brain comedy which gain a warm reception from viewers.

8. Dorm (เด็กหอ)

Genre: horror/comedy/coming-of-age
Director: Songyos Sugmakanan
Cast: Charlie Trairat, Jintara Sukphat, Sutthipong Thadpitakkul, Nipawan Thaweepornsawan
Length: 105 Minute
From 1 of the 6 directors of Fan-Chan (again!) come the horror/comedy/coming-of-age film which the misleading marketing campaign make people think that this is a pure horror film. However the film still recieved a very good reviews from both critics and viewers. Many people campare this movies as Stand By Me VS The Sixth Sense.

9. Loveaholic (โคตรรักเอ็งเลย)

Genre: Romantic/Drama/Comedy
Director: Ping Lamprapleng
Cast: Udom ”Note” Taepanich, Vissa Sarasas, Akara Amatakul

Although the "Can a couples save their marriage after 10 years" theme is already used many times in Thai or Hollywood film, but with the good script and directing, this medium-budget film success to satisfy the audience with many comedy and sad scene which make the viewers "laugh with tear". Udom "Note" Taepanich, the most popular stand up comedian in Thailand, prove himself as a prominent actor that can act in both comedy and dramatic ways. First time director Ping Lamprapleng also recieved praise from critics and the gross ensure the studio to give him enough money for his next project.

10. Ghost Game (ล่า ท้า ผี)

Cast: Pachornpol Jantieng, Supatsiri Patomnupong, Thanyanan Mahapirun, Phongsak Rattanapong

A low budget horror film which stars all members of "Acadamy Fantasia", Thai's most popular reality show. The film got average reviews from most viewers but the popularity of the cast and the good marketing take this film into the top 10 of 2006 with the satisfy gross.
