You're Not Going to See 'Agitator' Uncut, Not from Pathfinder, Not from Anyone.

Little emailing backwards and forwards with Ryan (hey, Ryan, nice work) and it's straight from the horses mouth that the company holding their grubby little mitts around the masters for the Uncut (200 minute) version of Takashi Miike's 'Agitator' aren't letting go. Nope. They will not license that verison out. So it seems that this is one of those issues that could still get resolved but firmly stands as a something that's going to take some skill to bash out if they're ever to change their mind.

Anyway, time to bit the bullet and bye the R2 UK 150 minute version from Tartan? Soft image? To the point of it looking like its been shot on a 20 year-old camcorder, yes. Shame, it's the only subtitled disc I know of. Anyway, this is also a call in despair that there's still great Miike films not getting releases (cough, 'Graveyard of Honor' etc) and this is one of the most hankered-after examples in that list.

Oh, and Ryan, good idea and nicely done - two heads are better than one.
