Ryoo Seung-wan And Hwang Jeong-min Reunite For THE VETERAN
Korea's Ryoo Seung-wan has been at or near the top of the nation's action film heap for better than a decade now thanks to a string of entertaining hits - and sometimes not-hits - and he's looking to retain his position by reuniting with Hwang Jeong-min, star of The Unjust, for upcoming cop thriller The Veteran.

After an international auto theft sting, veteran detective Do-chul is treated to a night at a club where he meets Tae-oh, the tyrannical heir to an untouchable mega corporation. Convined Tae-oh is a drug addict, he tries to investigate, but is stopped by his boss. Meanwhile Tae-oh runs into Mr Bae - a truck driver who helped Do-chul with his auto theft case - protesting to get his overdue wages. After being beaten for Tae-oh's amusement, Bae is hospitalized but his son finds Do-chul's name card and calls for help. Feeling responsible, Do-chul decides to get Tae-oh no matter what it takes and no matter how much Tae-oh tries to sabotage him.
Currently slated for a summer release, expect big entertainment value from this one as it appears to be playing to all of Ryoo's strengths and Hwang is always a treat to watch glower his way through a role.
