Watch Mark Hartley's ELECTRIC BOOGALOO Trailer Now!
Australian director Mark Hartley has brought his own country's B-movie history to glorious life with Not Quite Hollywood. He's taken us on a trip through the wild film history of American shlock transplanted to the Philippines in Machete Maidens Unleashed. And now he's tackling the undisputed kings of the B-movie pile with Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story Of Cannon Films.

Following hot on the heels of its premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival the first trailer for the film is now online and it's every bit as entertaining and gonzo as you would hope when someone like Hartley is turned loose on this sort of material. It's also got some naughty bits, so consider this your NSFW warning.

Man, this makes me feel so nostalgic. I miss films from Sho Kosugi, Chuck Norris and Michael Dudikoff.

Some of their movies made the backdrop to my childhood in the 80's, Ninjas, Remo Williams, Masters of The Universe, Braddock, Charles Bronson, Alan Quartermain, and so many more - they might be reviewed badly now, but they are priceless memories. Sho Kosugi was the best
