If the above publicity still for Myroslav Slaboshpytskiy's Critic's Week selection The Tribe doesn't catch your attention, how about this: The film plays out entirely in sign language and, if the trailer is to be believed, it does so without subtitles relying instead on the physical performances of its cast to carry the meaning.

The story follows a deaf-mute teen sent to a special boarding school where he must navigate his way through the difficult - and potentially criminal - hierarchy within the school.

The first trailer has just arrived and - as you may surmise from the image - it's not particularly work safe, though it's also not really as sexualized as you may expect, either. Check it out below.
