BRICK MANSIONS Trailer: Watch Paul Walker And David Belle Run Around
So. What we have here is the trailer for Brick Mansions the English remake of Luc Besson's 2004 French parkour action film Banlieue 13 (District 13).

The story moves from the streets of Paris to Detroit. The elements appear to be pretty much the same. A walled in city within the city, full of corruption and crime. The ex-con with good intentions drawn into a conflict when his much more attractive sister is kidnapped. And the cop who goes in to save the day, all the time at odds with his new 'partner'. Brick Mansions was directed by Camille Delamarre, a long time editor of some of Besson's other screenplays. He will direct the next Transporter flick.

In a dystopian Detroit, abandoned brick mansions left from better times now house only the most dangerous criminals. Unable to control the crime, the police constructed a colossal containment wall around this area to protect the rest of the city. For undercover cop Damien Collier (Paul Walker) every day is a battle against corruption. For Lino (David Belle), every day is a fight to live an honest life. Their paths never should have crossed, but when drug kingpin, Tremaine (RZA) kidnaps Lino's girlfriend, Damien reluctantly accepts the help of the fearless ex-convict, and together they must stop a sinister plot to devastate the entire city. With stylized action featuring thrilling Parkour stunts (David Belle is the co-founder of this physical training discipline). Brick Mansions puts an entertaining twist on the action genre.

Brick Mansions is interesting on a few levels. One, and this is obivous when you watch the trailer, very little appears to have been altered from the original script. That is not a terrible thing if you have not seen the original. Enough time has passed that a new audience can experience it for the first time. Two, David Belle returns to fill in his role from that first film. Again, not a terrible thing because of his excellent parkour skills. And third, this is going to be one of the last times we will get to see Paul Walker on the big screen. Which is just terrible.

There is plenty of Belle doing parkour in this trailer. And Detroit being motor city and with Walker's Fast and Furious lineage you have to have muscle cars in it! Which it does. And The RZA wears a suit...

I.. got nothing else on him.
