New Poster For THE WIND RISES Offers First Close-up Look At Its Main Character
As anime fans around the world start counting down to July 20, the date of the release of Miyazaki Hayao's new film The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu) in Japan, Studio Ghibli is busy releasing teaser posters to whet our appetite.
Another new poster has just been released, and I personally find it particularly exciting, not only because it looks incredibly pretty, but it is also the first time we get to have a close-up look at the film's main character, Horikoshi Jiro, who was the designer of the Zero Fighter plane used in the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II.
