Calvin Lee Reeder's Mindfuck, THE OREGONIAN, Now On Limited Edition DVD/7"!!
The Oregonian is out now in a very limited edition of 300 from Factory 25. The edition includes not only the DVD, but also a 7" of the soundtrack, a newsprint poster of the awesome green furry monster poster, and exclusive new art. The disc itself includes a short from the director titled Little Farm, as well.
The Oregonian was in my Top Ten Feel Bad Films of 2011 list, and it definitely deserves that spot. It is an atonal drone of a film designed to unsettle and disturb, and that job it accomplishes in spades. With Calvin Lee Reeder's The Rambler making waves at Sundance this year, I'd expect this to become a hot property pretty soon. If you aren't quite sure about the purchase, the film is on iTunes, but I'd recommend getting your hands on this soon! The purchase link is below.
There is a place. A place where the skies are wide and the forests are thick--and strange. You can lose yourself forever in these woods. You'll meet truckers with problems and old women with strange powers. You may even make a furry friend. Just be sure to stay quiet. Spend some time with a woman from Oregon who is lost on the road and running away from her past. Now she has a chance to experience everything the grotesque Northwest has to offer, whether she likes it or not.
