Mads Mikkelsen Joining THOR 2
A viking is headed to Valhalla.
Mads Mikkelsen - the Danish star of Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher, Pusher 2 and viking epic Valhalla Rising, best known on US shores for his stints in Casino Royale and Clash of the Titans - is in negotiations to join the cast of Thor 2.
Mikkelsen will be coming on as a villain for the piece, meaning he'll be working in concert with the returning Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Pretty much the entire cast of the original is returning as well, including the secondary Asgardian characters played by Idris Elba and Tadanobu Asano.
That this is somewhat obvious casting makes it no less good. Mikkelsen is a spectacular actor and should fit in rather nicely indeed.
