Exclusive Clip From THE GIRL FROM THE NAKED EYE!
The Girl From The Naked Eye will see a limited theatrical release in the top ten markets on June 15th. We have an exclusive clip featuring leading man Jason Yee from the flick to share with you.
When a high-class escort is murdered, her protector, Jake (Yee) stops at nothing to find her killer. Leaving a bloody trail in his path, Jake risks everything to uncover the truth and avenge the death of the woman he loved. THE GIRL FROM THE NAKED EYE takes audiences through a thrilling action-packed ride in the underground world of sex and drugs where nothing is what it seems and everything is deadly. Film stars Jason Yee, Ron Yuan, Dominique Swain, Samantha Streets and Sasha Grey.
The film is stylized and action-packed, paying tribute to Park Chan-Wook's OLD BOY. Jason Yee is a former super-middle weight, kickboxing and kung-fu champion and a 2 time U.S. Team member. His experience and skill elevated the GIRL FROM THE NAKED EYE, bringing authenticity to the action thriller.
The Girl From The Naked Eye blends film noir and martial arts. And though this clip doesn't display Yee's skills there is ample opportunity for him to use them throughout the film, including a face off with Lateef Crowder, the Capoeira martial artist from Tom-Yung-Goong and Undisputed 3. I've also put the trailer and an action featurette after the clip so you can see Jason in action.
If America is looking for a martial artist actor to compete on the world stage Jason Yee might be their guy. I think he needs a purer action flick to make his calling card - less lighting cigarettes every transition scene and less guns - but there was nothing in the flick that made me doubt that with the right movie he may just find that connection with action cinema fans.
