CONFIRMED: Warner Brothers Remaking POINT BREAK From Script By Kurt Wimmer

Back in June, ScreenAnarchy was the first to report that a remake of Kathryn Bigelow's Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze starring action flick Point Break was in the works using a script by Equilibrium director and Salt writer Kurt Wimmer as the starting point. Three months later that report is now proven correct with Warner Brothers officially announcing that they are teaming with Alcon Entertainment to create and release the film with Broderick Johnson, Andrew Kosove, Michael De Luca, John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Wimmer as producers. The hunt is currently on for a director.
