Death Metal! Free Beer! Buckets Of Blood! It's The New York Premiere Of Nishimura's HELLDRIVER And You Could Go For Free!
Hey, New York! You need a little splatter to spice up your Thursday night? How about a whole lot of it? The Japan Society and Subway Cinema are hosting the local premiere of Yoshihiro Nishimura's Helldriver this coming Thursday with Nishimura and star Eihi Shiina - best known as the lead of Takashi Miike's Audition - present and with a death metal and free beer fueled party to follow.
They will be screening the original, extended director's cut of the film and one pair of lucky ScreenAnarchy readers could be there for free. If you want to go all you need to do is email me here with the name of Nishimura's directorial debut. I'll give you a big hint right up front and let you know that it is NOT Tokyo Gore Police. The winner of a free pair of tickets will be drawn tomorrow morning.
Fifty percent of all proceeds from the screening will go to the Japan's Society's Earthquake Relief Fund and the first titles for the 2011 New York Asian Film Festival will be announced at the after party.
