Trailer For Thai Epic KING NARESUAN III Is Appropriately Sized.
The biggest film project ever attempted in Thailand, the King Naresuan saga is the creation of director Chatrichalerm Yukol - an honest to god Thai prince and also the director of the second biggest Thai production ever, Suriyothai.

A massive historical epic shot over the span of years on massive standing sets built specifically for the film - and left as a legacy for future filmmakers - with a literal cast of thousands the first two installments of King Naresuan were massive hits with Thai audiences, who are no doubt ready for the concluding chapter - a chapter so epic that what was originally planned as a trilogy has since expanded out to four films.

Well, audiences get their first taste now with the arrival of a lengthy, five plus minute trailer. And while I wish the resolution were higher there's no doubt that the scale of this thing is just massive.

Of particular note to fans of Thai martial arts is that this film originally contained a role specifically for Ong Bak star Tony Jaa, who happily accepted and was even sized for his costumes before his erratic behavior on the set of Ong Bak 2 led to Jaa being dropped from the film and reportedly replaced by Born To Fight star Dan Chupong. Nothing has been heard about the Jaa / Chupong casting issue since and if either man is actually in this film my eyes were not able to spot them in the promo.
