Chinese Action Comedy MY OWN SWORDSMAN Looks Like A Charmer
After an eighty episode run on mainland Chinese television, Shang Jing's popular kung fu comedy My Own Swordsman is making the jump to the big screen with a feature version releasing later this month.
The theatrical version brings along the entire cast and crew from the television series - including script writer Ning Cai Shen - and given just how strong the trailer appears this looks to be a clear case of "It aint broke so we aint fixing it."
The production values are well above what you would expect for a television adaptation, the cast is engaging and the action elements all appear strong. Hell, even the comedy appears to work. Check out the English subtitled trailer below.
