It was just a year ago that French-Canadian actor / writer / director Xavier Dolan burst on to the international scene and declared himself the new international wunderkind with his directorial debut I Killed My Mother. Something of a raw wound of a film, Mother was a tour de force piece of work, one in which Dolan did seemingly everything, did it on a tiny budget, did it spectacularly well, and did it all while he was still in his teens. The film would premiere in Cannes before winning awards by the fistful around the globe.
And now Dolan is back with another multi-hyphenate project - writer, director, actor, producer - and again in Cannes. This one looks to be a little more stylish, though, a little bit lighter. Titled Les Amours Imaginaires, here's how the sales company describes it:

The first trailer for this one is freshly arrived on the scene, features a truly fantastic use of music and just generally says that, yes, Dolan has done it again.Two friends become infatuated with a mysterious young man and soon let their obsession for him damage their friendship.
