Chicken Superheroes Save (?) the World in Tamil Blockbuster கந்தசாமி (Kanthaswamy)
We've had batmen, spidermen, zebramen, but wait for it.... Chicken Man is coming, courtesy of Kollywood (the Tamil "cousin" of Bollywood, if you will).

Susi Ganesan's fourth feature film கந்தசாமி (Kanthaswamy) is - at least on paper - one of the wildest ideas of recent memory: Kanthaswamy (Tamil superstar Vikram) is a handsome and refined CBI agent by day, and an anthropomorphic chicken (!) superhero by night, complete with "cock-a-doo" war cries and motions which would even overwhelm a b-boy. Spending the night by making sure the needy's pleas to Tamil Hindu deity Murugan are answered by punishing the sinister villains populating town in his fancy chicken attire, Kanthaswamy's matinee alter ego ends up discovering a money laundering syndicate led by the conniving Ponnusamy, which begins a huge complot made of lies, action, deceitful femmes fatales, dancing numbers and enough bling and pizzazz to both completely disarm you, and likely make for quite a fun night.

I'll review the Tamil hit (which released this summer and made huge business) later this weekend, but in the meantime, take a look at the insane trailer. Ahh... we need more chicken superheroes.
