Domestic films dominated the Japanese box office this weekend as Kimura Takuya's "Hero" held on to the top spot earning another 7 million (USD) bringing it's total to over 25 million (USD). "Evangelion: 1.0" is also still doing good business remaining at the 2nd spot this week on 91 screens. Miike Takashi's "Sukiyaki Western: Django" debuted weakly at No. 7 while Renée Zellweger's "Miss Potter" trumped "Harry Potter" debuting at No. 4

This week Robert Rodriguez's "Planet Terror" portion of "Grindhouse" is set to debut (9/22) as well as Tim Story's "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" ("Ginga No Kiki" in Japan).
