[Korean Film News] KOFIC Plans to Circulate Films in North America

The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) intends to market Korean films more aggressively in North America. The organization has announced a circulating program targeting art house theatres, university theatres, archives and institutes in North America. Initially, the selection will be comprised of ten films representing a diverse range of documentary, independent, commercial and classic films. The ten films are:

1. Flower in Hell (1954). Director, Shin Sang-ok
2. Marine Who Never Returned (1962). Director, Lee Man-hee
3. Wildflower in Battlefield (1974). Director, Lee Man-hee
4. Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000). Director, Bong Joon-ho
5. Grain in Ear (2006). Director, Zhang Lu
6. Driving with My Wife's Lover (2007). Director, Kim Tae-sik
7. If You Were Me 2 (2005). Kim Dong-won and five other directors
8. Our School (2007). Director, Kim Myung-joon
9. The King and the Clown (2006). Director, Lee Joon-ik
10. The Forbidden Quest (2006). Director, Kim Dae-woo
