Major changes this week as "Rush Hour 3" and Shinjou Takehiko's "Tengoku De Kimi Ni Aetara" capture the 1st and 3rd spots. "Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix" manages to hold on to the 2nd spot however. The Gérard Krawczyk/Luc Besson action/comedy "Taxi 4" also debuts this week. After only one week in the Top Ten "Vexille" disappears from the rankings.

Other films of interest include Suzuki Masayuki's "Hero" (9/8) and Sergio Tovar Velarde's "Eden" (8/25).

Final box office receipts show that "Rush Hour 3" overtook "Harry Potter" for the top spot and as such the posting has been modified to reflect this.
