Vicky Zhao and Jet Li in Tekken (铁拳) Video Game Adaptation

I find it strange that at this point in time, Tekken would be adapted into a film, the game is not exactly new or in its prime. Even stranger to get high profile chinese actors Vicky Zhao and Jet Li (an unusual pairing) in a Japanese/USA co-production. Li is to play The Boxer, a character whom I've having difficulty remembering from the game, and Zhao is to play Ling Xiaoyu.
The IMDb had previously (March 2005, anyway) had Takeshi Kaneshiro as Jin and that HUGE white guy (Nathan Jones) from Tom Yum Goong in there as well. The Director is the obvious (*SARCASM*) choice of Charles "Mr. 3000" Stone III.
I'll confess to having wasted oodles of productive hours grinding my fingers into paste playing Tekken Tag with friends, what is 90 minutes more?
