DOWNHILL: Image From Chilean Survival Thriller And What Is Next For Its Director
Filming of Downhill wrapped up last week in southern Chile and heads into post production. In a recent article at ScreenDaily the film was described as follows,
From the look of the still, Valladares' lead actor Bryce Draper is not having a good go at things. Downhill also stars Natalie Burn (Awaken and The Expendables 3), Ariel Levy and Matias Lopez from Eli Roth's The Green Inferno, Ignacia Allamand from Knock Knock, and Luke Massy from Green Street Hooligans.The story centers on a paralegal trapped on an mountain with a killer on a mission to kill a sick man. "Think Cliffhanger meets Paranormal Activity by way of David Cronenberg's old movies," said Valladares.
A week from now Valladares heads over to Istanbul to shoot his next film, the horror film Garip. This reunites the director with his Downhill co-writer Barry Keating.
The story follows a group of people who uncover a tomb at Tokat Castle that according to legend was the site of Count Dracula's incarceration. ScreenDaily
Garip stars Gianni Capaldi (a smack of Dolph Lundgren pics), Natalie Burn could be catching the same flight over from Chile, Guillermo Ivan, Russian actress Katrin Assi and Larry Wade Carrell (Hidden in the Woods).
