RYUZO AND THE SEVEN HENCHMEN: Full Trailer For Kitano's Geriatric Gangster Comedy
Having spent a lifetime garnering international fame for his violent gangster cinema, Kitano Takeshi is getting old. This fact is clearly not lost on the veteran prankster as the comedian turned criminal auteur - never shy about laying on the meta narrative in his comedic work - is mining that exact territory is his upcoming directorial effort Ryuzo And The Seven Henchmen.

Boasting a cast loaded to the brim with veteran hard men, Ryuzo 7 pits a group of elderly yakuza against a much younger group of criminals in a clash of generations when one of the old gangsters is victimized by one of the younger in an online phishing scam. Clearly this is the sort of insult that cannot stand.

The first teaser for Ryuzo 7 appeared back in November and has now been followed by a full trailer. There are no subtitles, unfortunately, but there's plenty you can follow just fine without them. Check it out below.

Makes me wonder whether he will do a third Outrage because this looks like a parody of exactly that.

I still don't understand how Japanese films keep having those very poor CGI segments in their movies when they have such a strong animation & game industry there.

He said in a interview that he would do a third one if the second one did well in the box office.
