INHERIT THE EARTH: Andrew Adamson To Direct Adaptation Of ROBOTS VS. ZOMBIES
According to a report over at Variety the director's chair for Inherit the Earth, the adaptation of the comic book Zombies vs. Robots, has been offered to Shrek and Narnia director Andrew Adamson.
Based on the IDW Publishing comicbook "Zombies vs. Robots" by Chris Ryall and Ashley Wood, the story follows a group of robots who protect a young girl, the last human on Earth, from a pack of intelligent zombies.
The adaptation is being produced by Sony and Platinum Dunes. The latest incarnation of the screenplay was written by Oren Uziel. Uziel wrote 22 Jump Street and has another script in post, the vampires vs. humans vs. zombie flick Kitchen Sink due out in the Fall.
The report over at Variety does have a spelling error. It cites that a prior version of the screenplay was written by a JT Perry. This is not the case. Back in 2011 everyone, including us, reported that The Burrowers and Hellbenders director JT Petty had the writing gig.
