Image Entertainment Digs Up U.S. Distro For Adam Green's DIGGING UP THE MARROW
Frozen and Hatchet director Adam Green has been relatively quiet on the feature film front of late. Word has come that his latest feature, the faux-documentary Digging Up The Marrow, has been picked up for U.S. distro by Image Entertainment.

When filmmaker Adam Green receives a package from a strange man (Ray Wise) claiming he can prove that monsters exist, he and his crew are taken on a mysterious, fantastical, and terrifying journey into the shadows deep down under the ground below our feet. DIGGING UP THE MARROW is a documentary-style film that blends reality with fantasy in a way that will leave even the most hardcore skeptics believing in the existence of monsters.

Green wrote, directed and stars in his new film. The story was inspired by the artwork of artist Alex Pardee who also appears in the film. Green gathered together a roster of friends from previous productions including Kane Hodder from Hatchet and filmmakers Tom Holland and Don Coscarelli. Familiar names and faces from Frozen and Green's television series Holliston dot the cast list.

"DIGGING UP THE MARROW is the result of an incredibly rewarding four-year creative collaboration," said Green. "It's a very unique film that doesn't neatly fit into any specific sub-genre that has come before it. We've been thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive response that MARROW has received at early screenings."

Based on Image Entertainment's previous release strategies I would expect there to be a theatrical run, VOD and iTunes releases, followed up by a home video release.
