Raven Banner To Screen 20 Minutes Of SAVAGED At Fan Expo This Weekend!

It was towards the end of last year that we set our eyes upon the teaser trailer for Michael Ojeda's revenge thriller Savaged. And while the production is continuing to put the finishing touches in post Raven Banner is going to treat visitors to Fan Expo here in Toronto. On Sunday, August 25th, at noon in Room 707, Raven Banner will screen 20 minutes from the upcoming film. 

While travelling across country, Zoe, a lovely deaf mute woman, stumbles on a horrific crime - a gang of rednecks slaughtering two Native American boys. Zoe's brave attempt to save one of the boys seals her fate. She is captured, raped and left for dead. When an Indian shaman finds her clinging to life in a shallow grave he attempts to save her - but something goes horribly wrong. 

The spirit of an ancient Apache warrior takes host of Zoe's dead body. So now she walks amongst the living, hell-bent on getting revenge. One by one she slaughters the men who brutalized her, while the clock ticks away on her quickly decomposing body. 

RAVEN BANNER ENTERTAINMENT and SINISTER CINEMA will be at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for the 2013 Fan Expo Canada/Rue Morgue's Festival Of Fear, Canada's premiere horror event August 22rd through to the 25th. 

Raven Banner meet & greets, poster signings and photo opportunities for fans will take place at their booth throughout the weekend for the following: NOTHING LEFT TO FEAR - Slasher Films' first feature will be the subject of a panel led by guitar hero turned horror filmmaker Slash! Slasher Films is the new horror label conceived by legendary guitar hero Slash. 

Their debut feature Nothing to Fear is about a family whose journey towards a better life in a small town is savagely derailed by a charismatic but emotionally conflicted man of the cloth. The film finally pulls the folklore surrounding the actual town of Stull, Kansas to the forefront and reveals the unsettling fact and fiction rumbling beneath the surface. 

Saturday August 24 - 5:30pm Panel Room 105 - Moderated by Fearless Fred of 102.1 The Edge. SAVAGED - Brutalized, left for dead, then possessed by an hell-bent Apache Chief, a woman takes revenge on the men who savaged her. Lead actress, Amanda Adrienne in attendance. Also Saturday August 24 @ 12:30pm Amanda Adrienne will be part of the FEMMES FATALE: The Women of genre panel. DON COSCARELLI - Legendary director of BUBBA HO-TEP, JOHN DIES AT THE END, and the PHANTASM series will be in attendance meeting guests and signing autographs. Don's most recent film, John Dies at the End, was the inaugural film release of Sinister Cinema, Cineplex's Front Row Centre Events and Raven Banner new monthly indie horror series. 

THE SOSKA SISTERS - Dynamic director duo Jen and Sylvia Soska (AMERICAN MARY, and the upcoming ABC's of DEATH 2, and SEE NO EVIL 2) will be in attendance. American Mary was released cross-Canada as part of Sinister Cinema. 

PAUL JONES - SFX Wizard, and Director of the upcoming Creature Feature BUZZKILL Paul Jones began his career working on the effects for HELLBOUND: HELLRAISER 2, NIGHTBREED, HIGHLANDER 2 - The Quickening and HELLRAISER 3 - HELL ON EARTH. Paul Jones Effects Studio has become one of the premier makeup effects companies in Canada, providing effects for GINGER SNAPS, BRIDE OF CHUCKY, RESIDENT EVIL series, SILENT HILL series, SHOOT 'EM UP, SOLOMON KANE, BOONDOCK SAINTS 2, THE THING and THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS. Paul will be in attendance Sunday Aug 25.

STEVEN KOSTANSKI - Member of the Astron 6 collective of filmmaker (FATHER's DAY) as well as the director of the cult Canadian classic MANBORG and the upcoming ABC's of DEATH 2, and THE VOID will be in attendance Thursday, Friday & Saturday.

WESLEY KING - Author of The Vindico book series described as the X-Men meets The Breakfast Club. What if you could have any super power in the world? But first you had to become a supervillian. Book signings Saturday August 24, all day. 

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ROSALIND LEIGH - This atmospheric debut feature from Director Rodrigo Gudiño will screen twice with guest cast members Aaron Poole, Julian Richings, and Mitch Markowitz in attendance. Last Will was released as part of Sinister Cinema, Cineplex's Front Row Centre Events and Raven Banner new monthly indie horror series.
