Cannes 2013: First Teaser for LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON
If you're one of the fans anxiously awaiting the first word on the newest picture from Hirokazu Kora-Eda, the man behind such critically acclaimed films as Nobody Knows, Still Walking, and I Wish, you might want to check out the first Japanese-language teaser, which has just emerged online.

The movie, which will have its official premiere in Cannes later this week, marks the director's return to a familiar ground both in style and in subject matter. Like Father, Like Son follows a loving couple who discover that the son they've been taking care of for the last six years is not actually theirs. A family in shambles, they need to reassess their lives and find a morally valid solution out of this drastically inconceivable situation.

One day, Ryota (Masaharu Fukuyama) receives a phone call from the hospital. The hospital informs Ryota that his 6-year-old son is not his biological son. After his birth, two babies were switched. Ryota and his wife (Machiko Ono) become torn by the news. The couple must decide whether to take back their biological son or keep the son they have raised for the last 6 years.

Knowing how emotional, poignant and dialogue-heavy his films might be, I'm pretty sure Like Father, Like Son won't let down anyone who's looking for a full-bodied, meaningful family drama. See the official teaser below, and follow all the latest news from Cannes closely to find out more.
