The First JISM 2 Trailer Is Online And Looks A Bit Hard To Swallow

Fuck you, okay, I'm enjoying writing headlines far more than the footage I've seen so far...

So, yes, Pooja Bhatt's erotic thriller Jism 2, starring the lovely Sunny Leone (aka Karen Malhotra) finally has a trailer, and it looks dreadful.  I'm used to awful Bollywood "thrillers", but this appears to be among the worst. The acting is terrible and Sunny Leone is terribly wooden, even though her voice is being dubbed as the producers didn't find her Hindi passable for Indian audiences.

The main marketing for the film seems to center around the fact that Leone has a career as a porn star, and in fact her character in the film states, quite bluntly, that she is a porn star. It seems like a flimsy premise to hang an entire film on, but that's never stopped the Bhatts before, so I can't imagine it was much of an impediment this time around.

Being the trooper that I am, I still fully intend to see and review Jism 2 if it comes to Dallas. It looks saucier than your typical Bollywood film, but somehow I doubt that'll be enough to keep my interest. Director Pooja Bhatt is anticipating a battle with the Indian censorship board, and I think that's probably a safe bet, though in this case, less will probably be more.

This looks like a '90s Skinemax feature from what I can tell so far, but India's censor board's fear of nipples may just take all the fun out of it. Make of this trailer what you will, Jism 2 hits theaters August 3rd.
