Jiiva Is South India's Newest Superhero In MUGAMOODI - THE SUPERHERO WITHIN
UTV, one of the biggest corporate conglomerates in the world, has long been a force in the Hindi film industry, but in the last couple of years, they've set their sights on the regional industries as well. The latest effort is the upcoming Tamil language superhero film, Mugamoodi, from acclaimed director Mysskin. Mysskin's last film, Yudham Sei, was a big hit, and among the best reviewed Tamil action films of 2011, and this one looks even better.
Anchoring the cast for Mugamoodi is Jiiva, who seems to be better known as a comedic/dramatic actor than an action hero, but we'll see how this ends up.
As far as the trailer is concerned, it actually seems pretty milquetoast for a super hero films. It has all of the necessary elements, funny costume, ass-kicking, etc..., but it's missing some flair. Hopefully more promos come out between now and the scheduled release date of August 31st. What do you think?
