Deadline are reporting that Levy is in advanced talks to take over the lead role in the Fede Alvarez directed remake of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, a role that had been given to Lily Collins before scheduling issues forced Collins to drop out.
Perhaps to avoid direct comparisons to the original film producers Sam Raimi, Rob Tappert and Bruce Campbell have opted to change the gender of the lead role in the remake, with Levy playing a character named Mia - a young woman recovering from a drug overdose in a remote cabin with friends when, you know, the soul swallowing begins.
