ZOMBIE Trailer Heats Up The Race For Bollywood's 1st Zombie Film
Last year we reported on the upcoming Indian Zom-Com, Shaadi of the Dead (Wedding of the Dead), but that film isn't the only Indian zombie film in the pipeline for 2012. There are at least three films in the race to become India's first entry into the zombie cannon.

Goa Goa Gone! will feature big time Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen next on the big screen in his action comeback, Agent Vinod. Goa Goa Gone is also set to star Vir Das from Delhi Belly, and Kumal Khemu. Not much is known about this film, including whether Khan will play a hero or a zombie or perhaps even both.

Shaadi of the Dead, recently retitled Rock the Shaadi, is the next contender.  This film features a lesser star in Abhay Deol, but has quite a heroine in Genelia D'Souza. Both this film and Goa Goa Gone are supposed to be Zom-Coms, the sort of film most western horror fans have grown weary of, but still a very novel idea in India.

The last film of the three, but the first to get any footage out, is Zombie?. This film is directed by and stars Luke Kenny (photo at left), who played a musician in a struggling band in 2008's Rock On! Kenny's film may be the most ambitious, as he has already stated that he has plans for a trilogy of zombie features. We'll see how that goes.

The first look teaser is a big vague, and there isn't much to grab onto, however, it is first, and sometimes that's all that matters.  Have a look.
