Watch A Bloody Red Band Clip From Marcus Nispel's CONAN THE BARBARIAN

Well, well. Might it be that Marcus Nispel's Conan The Barbarian is one of those films that plays out better in full scenes than in trailer form? It could be.

On the eve of Comic Con a new Red Band clip from the film has been released. It's part of the origin story - and so features nothing at all from Jason Momoa - but it is quite impressive. Well staged, well shot, good action and a healthy dose of blood and gore all presented without a trace of CGI. This goes a certain distance towards silencing at least some fears that we were looking at the second coming of the Clash Of The Titans remake. Plus it has a bunch of Ron Perlman and that's always a good thing.

A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil. 
 
Deftly adapted from the original works of Robert E. Howard and faithful to the mythology and psychology of his iconic character, CONAN THE BARBARIAN in 3D stars Jason Momoa, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Saïd Taghmaoui and Ron Perlman.  The film is directed by Marcus Nispel, and written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer and Sean Hood.
