Yubari likes 'Invasion of the Alien Bikini'. A lot.
Having never been ones to shy away from writing a post or hosting a trailer or doing anything involving the word 'Bikini' this particular post does have a tie-in with previous articles. We don't need a reason to... but we have one this time.
The Yubari Fantastic Film Festival saw fit to award their Grand Prix to Korean filmmaker Oh Young-doo and his second film Invasion of the Alien Bikini this past weekend. Oh's first film was the entertaining and promising The Neighbor Zombie which I caught at last year's Fantasia Film Film Festival. So what is the film about? Details are slim but the story involves a young boy who tries to save the world from bikini-clad alien invaders. Consider us on board.
So get this. The prize money for the Grand Prix is $25,000. Oh made Invasion fo the Alien Bikini for less than $5,000. Oh is also the first foreign director to win the prize at the festival.
We hope we can find a trailer for this soon. We're working on it...
