Camera Japan Festival reveals program! Pleasure! Pain!
The Camera Japan Festival is an annual film festival based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. This year it's from the 7th till the 17th of October, a bit later than usual as its major venue in Rotterdam has moved to a different location and only just opened to the public.
What to expect this year? The theme is "Pleasure & Pain" and there sure is enough of that to be found in Japanese cinema. There is a Pink retrospective, a lecture on J-horror by Tokyo University of Arts professor Yuichi Kishino, an exhibition of 3D-photographs taken in a famous SM-love hotel by Nathalie Daoust, museums in Rotterdam will do their part but first and foremost there is a killer selection of movies.
