No Windmills In China's 3D DON QUIXOTE
There's something inherently odd in taking a distinctly regional character like Don Quixote and transplanting him into an entirely different country. There's no doubt about that. But that said, the idea of a wuxia Hamlet seemed kind of odd on the surface as well and that one - The Banquet - turned out rather well, indeed. So color me curious.

Billed as the first fully 3D film produced in Asia - though I can think of a few others that may dispute that claim - A Gan's Don Quixote has just released a six pack of images via Chinese media portal SINA and while I see no Sancho Panza and no talking donkey I do see an awful lot of gorgeous imagery and richly detailed production design. So, yeah ... A Chinese Don Quixote may strike you as odd but, like The Banquet, I think this has the potential to be rather impressive.
