Hungary Goes Digital Backlot With SORSVONALAK (THELOMERIS)

I find it odd that the producers of upcoming Hungarian science fiction film Sorsvonalak have gone and given their film an "English" title - Thelomeris - that makes no more sense in English than does the Hungarian title. There's a bit of a communications breakdown there, boys, a breakdown that continues into the nonsensical English synopsis of the film which reads pretty much like auto-translated gibberish.

Here's what I'm able to make out, though. Sorsvonalak is a digital backlot production with somewhere between seventy and eighty percent of the finished picture made up of digital imagery. The producers say this is the first ever Hungarian feature length science fiction film and I'm not about to argue that point. The story? Something about a man changing destiny to save his sick wife ... considering that he owns a clock factory I'd wager time travel is somehow involved.

The first teaser has just arrived and it is very much a tease, containing only three actual shots from the film and while those shots aren't enough to overwhelm they certainly are enough to capture the interest. We need to see more of this to make a judgement but this could be some solid stuff. Check it out in the ScreenAnarchy Player below the break.
