Kimura Takuya remains a "Hero" at the Japanese Box Office for a fourth straight week as his movie earns another three million (USD) in box office receipts bringing it's total earnings to close to 50 million. Yukisada Isao's adaptation of the Shizukui Shusuke novel "Closed Note" and James Foley's Halle Berry/Bruce Willis drama "Perfect Stranger" debut to take the No. 2 and No. 3 spots respectively.

"Evangelion: 1.0" is still holding strong in the top ten bringing up its total earning to a cool 12 million in five weeks.

Guillermo del Toro's brilliant and touching "El Laberinto Del Fauno" (Pan's Labyrinth) is finally going to hit theatres in Japan (10/6). The Peter Berg action/thriller "The Kingdom" is also set to play theatres in Japan (10/13).

Morita Yoshimitsu's "South Bound" is also scheduled for "road show" debut in Japan (10/6). Starring Amami Yuki, Kitagawa Keiko and Toyokawa Etsushi this comedy/drama is based on the best selling novel by Okuda Hideo.
