HK DVD for Kentaro Otani's Nana 2 (2006) Due July 12th 2007.

This is one of those vaguely interesting guilty pleasures that, although it's (for some reason) sat in my mind among a pile of other very commercial-looking recent romantic adventure films for young audiences in Japan, still stands out. You see, the manga and anime for Nana still remains fairly visible when you traverse forums and sites in English, and the first film (which, yes, I've seen -- also on an HK DVD) is actually reasonably worthwhile. Ryuhei Matsuda helped -- but now the cast has substantially changed, I think -- and yet the rapid rise and fall of young lives remains a powerful device, used to fairly good ends around these parts.
