Distribution rights for Konrad Niewolski's Polish thriller Palimpsest are being offered for sale by MonteCristo International LLC at the Marché du Film in Cannes. The movie is being screened at the Gray 3 on Saturday May 20th at 12:00 p.m. (12:00). It had its world première at the RiverRun International Film Festival 2006 in North Carolina on March 17th.
The screenplay for Palimpsest was written by Igor Brejdygant (note: all names are written in ISO 8859-1 (Latin 1)). The movie stars Andrzej Chyra as Marek, Magdalena Cielecka as Hanna, Robert Gonera as Tomek, Adam Ferency as Malina, Henryk Talar as the commanding officer, Grzegorz Warchol as the neighbour, and Tomasz Sapryk as Maciek. The rest of its principal cast apparently is as follows: Arkadiusz Bazak, Miroslaw Zbrojewicz, Jacek Barciak, Elzbieta Jarosik, Adam Kamien, Arkadiusz Jakubik, Mariusz Saniternik, Stanislaw Penksyk, Artur Holozubiec, Jacek Lenartowicz, Tomasz Zaród, Katarzyna Bargielowska, Miroslaw Moranski, Boguslaw Parchimowicz, Andrzej Musial, Marcin Jedrzejewski, and Bartosz Dziedzic.
