It's far too early to say at this point with the film not even before cameras yet, but they certainly talk a good game and the elements all seem to be in place.

Director Senesi Michele got his university degree on the back of a thesis paper on Tsui Hark and has built a reputation as a writer for Nocturno Magazine and is a founder of Italy's Asian Feast website. So he's a fan, and a well educated one, no doubt there. And not only do they know Asian film but they are deliberately labelling themselves as revivalists for Italian genre film, a world that's been sorely lacking for quite some time.

So what are they brewing to put Italy back on the map? "A fusion of different genres, a truly violent, bloody and immoral comedy ... The movie tells the weird story of corpses sold through the internet, sensual necrophile women, siamese twins, shaolin warriors and christological appearences. Italian wine, beer and any other sort of alcohol flood in a movie which aims to be the definitive picture about the (ab)use of alcohol."

A quick spin by the website turns up character designs, music news and story boards ... again, it's early, but this could be the real deal ...
