DVD update: Kôji Shiraishi's CARVED (KUCHISAKE-ONNA) - a.k.a. "A Slit-Mouthed Woman"

Tartan Video USA is scheduled to release Kôji Shiraishi's Carved (Kuchisake-onna) - a.k.a. "A Slit-Mouthed Woman" (international sales title) - on DVD in the U.S. on August 14th. (Thanks to ScreenAnarchy's own logboy for bringing this to my attention.) Tornado Film K.K. (K.K. Torunêdo Firumu) released the movie theatrically in Japan on March 17th. Twin Co. Ltd. (K.K. Tsuin) is the international sales agent for it.

The screenplay for Carved was written by Shiraishi and Naoyuki Yokota. The movie stars (listed order corresponds to order in theatrical trailer) Eriko Satô, Haruhiko Katô, Chiharu Kawai, Rie Kuwana, Kazuyuki Matsuzawa, Kaori Sakagami, Ryôko Takizawa, Kôichirô Nishi (he isn't credited in the teaser trailer), Yûrei Yanagi, Saaya Irie (a.k.a. Saaya - on the left), and Miki Mizuno.
